RIP Roger Whittaker

France — Multi-lingual whistling troubador Roger Whittaker died Sept. 12 in a hospital near Toulouse. He was 87.

Best known for his 1969 hit “Durham Town,” he was beloved by audiences on several continents. His other hits included “The Last Farewell” and “New World in the Morning,” and he sold nearly 50 million records around the world, his website said.

As played by Kevin, Whittaker visited Castle Forrester in a host segment in episode 903- THE PUMAMAN. In another segment in the same episode, Crow and Servo use their “genuine Aztec mask” to control Roger.

RIP Geechy Guy

LAS VEGAS — Geechy Guy, veteran Vegas comedy headliner, regular winner on TV’s “Star Search” and quarterfinalist on TV’s “America’s Got Talent,” died Sept. 7 at his home here. He was 59.

Guy was found unresponsive in his bedroom and pronounced dead on the scene.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has the story.
