Chiswick, London — Alvin Rakoff, the Canadian-born filmmaker who directed Laurence Olivier in “A Voyage Round My Father,” has died. He was 97.
Rakoff was a writer, director and producer of over 100 TV, film and stage productions, as well as novels.
MSTies know his work as director of the movie in episode K16- CITY ON FIRE.

Keizô Murase, an artist and sculptor who worked on many Japanese monster films — he made the Gamera suit and did special effects for many movies including the movies in episodes K06- /308- GAMERA VS. GAOS and 1109- YONGARY MONSTER FROM THE DEEP — died Oct. 14.
He joined Toho’s film productions in 1958 and worked as a modeling assistant on films such as “Varan the Giant Monster” in the same year, “Mothra” in 1961, “King Kong vs. Godzilla” in 1962, and “Matango” in 1963.

Posted by Sampo, on October 17th, 2024 BURBANK, CALIF. — Roger Browne Jr., an actor and voice artist best known for his work in Italian cinema, died here Oct. 11 after a short illness.
MSTies will remember him in the title role of ARGOMAN, THE FANTASTIC SUPERMAN, which was riffed during 2017’s “Watch Out For Snakes” live tour.
