Upcoming Discussion Thread Reading Assignment

For those of you who take part in our weekly discussion threads, I wanted to give you a little advance notice. Our topic for the July 4 weekend will be Michael J. Nelson’s novel “Death Rat.” I wanted to give you a few weeks’ heads up so you can dig out your copy and re-read it, or read it for the first time if you never got around to it (you can get at Amazon for under $5).

    FIRST!

No need. Never made it all the way through the first time.

I requested a copy through Inter-Library Loan this morning.

So, will we be discussing Mike’s other books or Kevin’s “A Year at the Movies”, too?

#4: If you have a library in your town, or one somewhere close, perhaps you could try to get it from there. Maybe the library doesn’t have it but that would be a place to try. :-)

Got mine on hold from the Library. #2 of 2 holds on 1 copy. Not sure if I’ll be able to get it before 4th of July. The Library, she is a fickle beast.

There is no way my library will have this. Trust me. I’m surprised it even has books made in this century. And no one will know what I’ll be talking about if I ask. They can’t keep phone numbers straight in their system. The county library harrased me last year for books I didn’t even take out. I haven’t been there for a long time.

I don’t know if anyone’s interested, but I found an interview with David Cain Haughton\David Brandon (The sort-of-evil villain guy) it’s a few years old, but he seems like a very nice, old-school actor; never a bad word to say about anyone. There’s a short paragraph about making Ator (Cave Dwellers).
