The sample’s unlistenable. Icky delay sound repeating for some reason.

Hey, CK, you’re not alone in the “icky delay sound repeating” thingy. Weird. Make it stop!

Yup…I’m getting the “sound repeating thing” too.

Yeah, riffing good movies. No thanks. What, are they gonna do “Casablanca” next?
Oh, wait…

I hope there’s earwig jokes! Did I spell earwig right? Is there even an earwig in this movie? Anyway, it will be mine and I can’t wait to laugh my behind off… or my earwig off.

@11
Can you provide for all of us unenlightened folks a definition of “good movie” that we can all universally accept and abide by from now on?
No?
That’s too bad.
I guess we’ll have to stick with the understanding that a movie is held to be “good” only by virtue of a conceit on the part of the viewer(s) that they would just never deign to enjoy movies which are *not* good.

After all the hype, I was shocked to discover that this is no better than any other ST movie. I think I will go with The Undiscovered Country as the best. Christopher Plummer chewing the scenery with Shakespeare is better than Montalban with Melville and Shatner’s inadvertent walk on the wild side with the shapeshifter is gold.
As far as the riffing goes, a bit dull. In this new bout of productivity, they have had some real winners (Birdemic and KKIII) and some snorers (Harry Potter and this one), but overall I like it better than when they dropped to one movie every 1.5 months. And there is a great joke at the start of Spock’s death scene. But with the eighties hair/outfits on Khan and Krew, I feel like they could have really gone to town on this movie, and they didn’t really.

I have watched this a few times and I can’t stop laughing. This and the last have been my two most watched recently. I give it 5 stars.

“Where’s Mike?!!”

They should have him pushing Fine Corinthian leather! I’d buy some!

Though I agree with the earlier poster that it was a bit surprising that they didn’t ‘rough this one up’ a bit more, overall, it was still a pretty good time.
Anybody else remember what HIGH regard this film was held in for so long, coming on the heels of the (general) disappointment that was “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”?
Though it’s still a pretty good film, it is interesting to note how time has helped put it into perspective…… :alien:
