MST3K Showings: Colonial Theater & Bryant Lake Bowl

Bryant Lake Bowl, 810 W. Lake St. in Minneapolis will present “MST3k: Salute Your Shorts,” a collection of MST3K shorts Wednesday, April 6, at 10 p.m. Admission is free. More info here.

And a reminder:
The historic Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pa. (in suburban Philadelphia–the theater where they shot some scenes for the movie “The Blob” ) will show episode 417- CRASH OF THE MOONS Friday, March 18, at 9:45 p.m.
Our source says there’ll be an invention exchange contest before the show for prizes.
More information here. More MST3K shows are planned at the Colonial in the coming months.

If you are having a public showing of an MST3K episode, or if you hear about one, let me know at msampo at a-o-l dot com so we can let people know.

    I’ve only seen the show’s version of This Island Earth on a big screen. I bet it will be a blast to see all the movies on a big screen! :-)

    I just watched this episode yesterday, it’s really quite fantastic….very underrated, IMO.

    How is it that I live in a city of 13 million people and don’t get to see MST on a big screen, yet the residents of Phoenixville, Pa. get this rare treat????? ;)

    I’d seriously consider it if they were showing one of my more favorite episodes:touch of satan/creeping terror/girl in gold boots/tormented/horror of spider island….
    but crash of the moons I thought was kind-a bland

    I gotta admit this will be the first MST show at the Colonial that I will skip. It is a bit of a drive, plus the episode is not one of my favorites at all. But, and I can hopefully say this publicly because this was already mentioned at the last Colonial show, they will apparently be showing Final Justice in May. No way will I miss seeing Final Justice there.

    @Matt,
    Yup, Final Justice is already booked for May:

    We haven’t discussed the July show yet, but it’ll be a Joel episode, as I do my best to alternate Joel/Mike each show. Just haven’t decided which yet.

    Cool Chuck, good to hear it. As for my choices for a Joel episode (that has already been released on DVD), they are Monster-A-Go-Go, Santa Claus Conquers The Martians, or Manos, The Hands of Fate.
