Let’s see here:
*$8 for the ticket (not including whatever surcharges they have)
*$4 just to cross the bridge
And then having to pay for parking there? FORGET IT! Never mind the fact that it’ll take me 78 minutes to get there.

I wish they would do this in my area! (S. CA) Should we get some petition going or something?

Me: “Hey, look, an MST3K event near south Jersey, with one comment. Wonder if that’s Laura finding something to complain about?” Click. “Win!”
If you have no pigeon-related complaints today, may I recommend the Hi-Speed Line? $5 round trip!

@ Laura: $8 at the door, no other charges. Parking is only pay in the two lots. Don’t park in the lots, I never do.

So Laura, you think $12 is too much to pay for a full evening of entertainment? I’ve paid quite a bit more for quite a bit less.
If this were closer I would love to take part. Nothing beats watching MST3K/Rifftrax/CT with fellow fans.

I’m within walking distance! For your information, back in July 2007 Mary Jo Pehl came to Blobfest here in Phoenixville after I had began a friendly email exchange with her regarding Blobfest and to my surprise, she said she wanted to come and she did.

Just like a few months ago with Zombie Nightmare, I am definitely going to this show. I didn’t mind paying money to cross the bridge and get in (I live in Jersey), even though I have this episode on DVD. The audience, the trivia for prizes, the general ambiance (sp?) of the Colonial all make it worth the effort.

Phoenixville: the town I’ve always wanted to visit.

Complaining about paying $12 for an entire evening of entertainment? LOL…some nights I’ll spend that much in an hour just on drinks. You can always stop in downtown Philly on the way back to do some dumpster diving and save money on food.

Anyone who even thinks of scorning the opportunity to go to something like this earns my unending ire… Try living in a place like MT where nothing like this ever happens. Hell, I didn’t even get to see the movie when it was in theaters, and being about 14 at the time, couldn’t attend anywhere that it played within driving distance.
Besides, I thought movies were around the $1,000 mark these days in those big concrete canyon people infested type places… seems like $12 sure tain’t bad. I’m surprised she didn’t whine about fuel costs…..

You guys don’t understand. It would take ROUGHLY A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR to get there. Come on people. :-P Although in seriousness that is bad timing on the fuel cost comment as it has gone up over 20 cents in the last month alone. :reallyangry:
Man, those smileys could NOT have come at a better time.

I just purchased the prizes for the pre-show trivia, so bone up on your Warrior of the Lost World and assorted MST3K trivia!

See Cyanide, that makes it tough on me. I am purposely NOT re-watching WotLW because I want to be able to laugh somewhat organically as I have only seen this episode once since getting the box set. But I know that I knew every answer to the Zombie Nightmare trivia questions the last time (I was in the upper deck so the guy wasn’t seeing us up there very well). Perhaps I will actually sit where I can be seen and win me some swag.

Hey Matt, no worries. I don’t think I’m going to have any episode specific trivia, to be honest. So you don’t have to worry about rewatching the episode in advance. I’m the guy that does the trivia before the show and although I couldn’t see the balcony, about half of the prizes went to people up there. But it’s true, once those lights go on, I really can’t see much of the audience. I’m hoping my sunglasses help for this next show, then I’ll be all Cory Hart on stage. 8-)

How did this theater go about setting up this screening? Who did they talk to in order to secure the permissions, etc? I’m interested, because I would like to set up similar screenings.

Good show last Friday at the Colonial. Smaller crowd than last time, but still fun for those of us who showed up. Can’t wait for Jack Frost! (Don’t know bout Crash of the Moons, not a big fan of that episode.)
