Yes, with just about a week to go before the beginning of the COMPLETELY SOLD OUT Comic-Con in San Diego, we can officially announce that we will be there, posting up-to-the-minute reports, interviews and more.
For those of you attending, here’s where to be. For those not attending, here’s what we’ll be reporting on:
Friday

I live in Massachusetts and spend most of my $$$ on my ankle-biter. And DVD boxed sets. I envy all who go and get to vomit on Stormtroopers!
p.s. The last time I was at the convention center was when my company was putting on a mathematicians conference, so Comic Con is pretty much the same people, only with costumes.
Man, oh man, any chance the Shout Factory folks could film this for inclusion in the 20th Anniversary Box? The Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared boxes had very cool cast “reunions” filmed at the Museum of Broadcasting.
While I’m blue-skying, how about getting the group to do an all-star jam session riff track on a short, or jeez, “The Green Slime” and put it on the box too?
It’s so crazy it might just work!
Just like every other mstie, I’d love to be there. Since I can’t I hope the cast has such a fun time that they decide to get those robots up and running again! Wouldn’t it be cool for the fourth film on each of the forthcoming box sets to be a new movie? The answer is Yes!

Just kidding. I WISH I COULD BE THERE!! I was at the ’96 convention, but of course, joel wasn’t there, neither was frank. got to see bill corbett for the first time, though, but wish joel was there.

Um, did we all miss something, re:vomiting on Stormtroopers? Maybe Kevin wore that outfit that made Mike and Bill hurl in Rifftrax’s YouTube Christmas message. Of course, it didn’t look like anyone was drunk. But, I digress. I say, lucky you, Sampo, et al. I would love to make my way to my former residence to wade my way through the fanboys and all the TV show fans to get there. The latest issue of TV Guide had a big article on how TV shows like Heroes and Lost, and even even 24 are going to Comic-Con. There was no mention of the little cowtown puppet show and their anniversary thingy. Oh, well. It’s still pretty cool. :smile:

Is anyone going to be taping the cast reunion? I was at the reunion in NYC a few years ago and was told that it was taped for “archival purposes”, but I’ve never been able to find out who exactly did so.
Being from RI, I know the feeling. Man, I wish they’d bring some of that convention goodness to the East Coast. Oh well, have a good time guys. :razz:
@ the2ndsuitor: it’s not so much like a party you didn’t get invited to – more like a party you DID get invited to and everyone you know is going but you can’t go because you crashed your parents’ car and now there’s no way they’re letting you go do anything fun until you’ve done enough chores to pay for it. And also you couldn’t afford transcontinental flights.
What day will they be announcing the titles for Shout Factory’s anniversary set? I’m guessing we’ll get to see it here first…
And damn it, yes, why do the Brains never travel east?
Re: Fireballil mentions TV guide had a piece on Comic-Con. If anyone gets the TV Guide Network in their area, they are doing a behind-the-scenes look at this event on Aug. 3rd. It lists 8pm (Eastern) in my TV Guide. They’ll probably focus on more current programs in that, too, but maybe we’ll catch a glimpse of….SOMETHING…

The Chiller Theater convention will be held in Parsipany NJ Oct 24-26! Wouldn’t it be nice if just one representative of Rifftrax or CT could show up to meet the fans just days before the big dvd release!

:mad: I tried to get tickets to to this but it was sold out!!! At the last minute, they said. The call before me got the last one. It’s not fair!!! :cry: Well, to all of you that are going, have a great time! :smile: I want autographs and pictures so bad. I guess I can always hope for a 30 year reunion.
