• Also, the Titans will also be attending Dragon*Con in Atlanta, Sept. 3-6.
Update: One other note–in their latest email the Titans offered this tantalizing tidbit:
“Those of you in the St. Louis area, KETC-TV will be showing our episode “Doomsday Machine” on weekends throughout September – along with pledge breaks featuring Joel and Frank. Check your local listings.”
We didn’t want to post about it until we knew more, and now we do. We spoke to folks at KETC today and they said the pledge drive will begin on or around Sept. 12 and the exact schedule they’re going to use isn’t set yet. They’ll let us know when it is and we’ll let you know. But it won’t be for another 10 days at least.
One thing that was missed is that St. Louis PBS station KETC will be showing “Doomsday Machine” on Saturdays during the month of September (looks like sometime after the 15th), with Joel and Frank doing the pledge breaks. What, no Public Pearl TV?

Does the CT personally have to burn the DVDs on their individual computers? I ask because I wonder what is taking so long for the release of a new CT Live DVD.

Please come to Denver with the snowfall
We’ll move up into the mountains so far that we can’t be found
And throw “I love you” echoes down the canyon
And then lie awake at night till they come back around
Please come to Denver…

I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you. They have basically given the finger to South Jersey fans and refuse to come here. So I’ve withdrawn all support until there is a show that’s not in Pigeonville (Philly).

I really don’t think CT picks a certain city to perform.I think it’s up to their manager or the people/mayor of whatever town.Or maybe because they all don’t live in the same city or state that they try to have a schedule that’s convenient for all of them.Makes sense. If you don’t know, then I would ask…As far as a new DVD release,I bet they come out with one next month, since they’re doing all of this touring.I doubt they do it themselves.Besides, didn’t Mary Jo say something about writing for the next movie they’ll be doing, but couldn’t say what it was on Facebook??? I bet if they do a new one on tour either next month or month after that, then “WAR OF THE INSECTS” will be the one they’ll release on dvd..

I saw Doomsday Machine on KETC last weekend, and the movie critic for the Post-Dispatch tweeted that they would as well.

They are playing three times in Jersey for the next several months, and you’re upset they aren’t coming to South Jersey? :?: The state ain’t that big…

There is just no way I’m going to travel that kind of distance. I don’t live anywhere near the cities they’re performing at. Until they have a show that’s not in Pigeonville (Philly) or those crapholes in North Jersey, no more DVD money from me.

I’m tired of having to buy “Live” DVDs just to see them “live.” I don’t want to do that anymore. I actually want to see them live in person. Until that happens, I will not spend any more money on ANY DVDs.

Anyone know what they’ll be screening in St. Louis? The pre-sale code in the e-mail I received was ‘WATTS,’ which certainly seems to suggest it’s East Meets Watts. (And what gives with the code in the post being SNAKES?)
Unfortunately, Watts is the one movie I’ve already seen them perform live. And a $30 ticket (plus a tank of gas) when I’ve already seen the show and purchased the DVD… well, I’m a huge fan, but not THAT obsessive.

Laura, unless you’re on Cape May, Princeton isn’t more than an hour and a half away. That’s my work commute. They’re not going to come any closer to you, unless they play Atlantic City sometime — possible, but waiting for one city out of hundreds, when they only hit a couple of dozen a year, is like waiting to win the lottery. (It’s certainly not them “giving the finger” to South Jersey, or anything else personal.) I doubt they’ll play Camden when they can just as easily play Philly, and there just aren’t that many more good city venues or college towns in South Jersey. (I was born in Haddonfield, and lived in Maple Shade; I know wherefrom I speak.)
Princeton isn’t a “craphole,” either.

Please come to Augusta GA so I can take my mom. I missed going with her to the recent Earth Wind & Fire concert and will regret that for the rest of my life. Please help…

I’d also like to know what they’re screening in Boston. I already have tickets (yay!) (boo to horrible Wilbur seating!) but am hoping it’s something besides _East Meets Watts_, although that is hilarious.

Strudelganger, They did EMW last time they were in Boston. I’d be surprised if they repeated.

I really can’t travel for almost 2 hours to come city I avoid like the plague. I don’t have reliable transportation and it woud be too much for my car to handle. So unless they do come to AC, there is just no way I’m going to attend.

@12..It’s funny that what you were responding to had nothing to do with what I said..Listen,if I get see them in person,I’m going to buy a dvd of theirs,if it’s live or not because to me it’s the next thing to being there.

@19..oops,I meant to say,”if I don’t get to see them in person..” I’m going to support them no matter what. It’s that simple.I only saw them one time last year in Dallas and made the 5 hour drive from Arkansas to do it because I figured that was going to be the closest they’re going to come, since they hardly hit the southern states. It was worth the trip.

@18..You couldn’t go with a friend and take their car instead and share the expenses??

jere7my: I know — hence my hope for something else. I kept seeing it for other shows, and I figured they might have done it there on a previous tour, too! But I hope you’re right. Thanks for the response!
