Awesome! A Gypsy figurine!
Oh, let’s face it, I’m just psyched about Robot Monster and Bride of the Monster being together at last.

Any chance of Amazon lowering the price? I can’t use DeepDiscount anymore. Apparently I’m a “troublemaker”.

Seems pretty shortsighted for an online retailer to prohibit people from ordering from them like that. I wasn’t aware they would do that to someone.
Amazon always winds up lowering the price. The Shout! sets always get down to around $31.99 around the day of release.

I was hoping they would have J Elvis do a intro for Robot Monster, and I got my wish! Sweet!
The extras sound excellent, the feature on Ed Wood and Bride of th Monster should be fun, ditto for Joel talking about the Invention Exchanges.
And an interview with one of the producers of Devil Doll? Love it!
I’m looking foward to this set now more than before

Documentary about Ed Wood and BRIDE OF THE MONSTER? Brilliant.

Sounds like a solid set. It’ll be nice to get J. Elvis’s perspective on things.

I really appreciate Shout Factory adding in extras but I could do without the mini posters. Nothing against Steve Vance but his drawings don’t really blow me away. I’m not really sure what the point of a mini poster is either. Are they made to fit in a table top picture frame? Even if the posters only add $1.00 to the overall cost of the dvd sets, I’d personally rather keep the dollar.

I actually really like the posters.
Great extras. Anything new with Joel is always a treat. This really is a great time to be a MSTie.

Good to see J. Elvis getting some respect.

The posters are okay, but I’d prefer copies of original movie posters.
And how about a speaking Krankor figurine with a sound cord to pull.
Hah hah hah hah hah!

I particularly enjoy the reunion at comic-con extra.

I agree with #7 and #10,the mini-posters are alright, but I wouldn’t count them as extras. What would be nice is if they had a re-production of the original posters instead or maybe trivia about each movie.Besides, you kind of have the mini-posters anyway as the cover for each disc/episode,right?? I always leave the mini-posters inside the box set anyway. They really don’t serve no purpose outside of the box,do they? Wrapping paper, perhaps?? Tack on the wall of your bedroom? Who knows.

Josh’s intro should be interesting since he has said he dislikes that particular episode

Actually, the mini-posters were great for the Titans to sign when I went to one of their shows last year. I got cast members to sign a mini-poster on an episode they worked on, then had all the mini-posters, complete with signatures, framed together to go on the wall as one big display. Looks cool!

What, no Richard Baseheart doc for Gypsy?

I was wondering about what they’d do in terms of extras for this set; besides Ed Wood, there really wasn’t alot to work with regarding the other titles imo. However, it looks like SF has put together some decent bonuses for the upcoming set. I’m especially looking forward to Joel’s “invention exchange” featurette.
I was iffy about the mini-posters in the beginning, but I’ve grown to like them as time has gone on. If you put them together and lay them out, it’s actually very eye-catching!

Always nice to see another Ed Wood featurette. Though I’m not fond of the ‘Bride’ episode (a bit too much reliance on heroin jokes), this one’s a must have.
To pipe in on the poster issue, my only problem with them is that they’re just stuck in there. They almost always get caught behind a DVD and get a fold in them. If they were using a digipack, there could be a pocket to put them in, but since they don’t, maybe an envelope or something to keep them a bit safer.

One thing you really can’t complain about is a lack of effort. I myself am very pleased with the product filling my collection of pristine episodes. ;-)

I like the posters….keep them all inside my 20th anniversary tin….someday to go into a mega-collage custom frame the size of a subway poster.
Only 87 [plus or minus a few] more episodes to go.

I just want to note that I have seen the CONvergence footage and I think fans will find it fascinating. Joel delves into the early days of the show in a way he has never done before, and makes quite a few remarkable observations.

Cool. I already saw what the mini posters looked like on Amazon, and can’t wait to see Josh’s introduction. :P

J. Elvis doing the intro is wonderful, and appropriate since he was there in the 1st Season. I wish he could do all the intros for the rest of the 1st Season as it is the only season he can really partake in as far as extras go unless the KTMA series comes out
I didnt know Richard Gordon was even alive. That is a coolio feature ! He was a cult movie figure from that era & was the executive a lot of trash classics ranging from Devil Doll to Horror on Snape Island, Horror Planet , even the Projected Man..he is 85 years old.
I am eager to see Joel doing the invention thing too…this will be a great set ! :)
I guess they couldnt find or use anything for Devil Fish..

Gordon was the Executive Producer ( Ha I forgot the producer part) someone find me an editor   :!: :!: :!:

I’m so glad they selected “Bride of the Monster”. That one just seems to get better and better with each viewing. I’ve said for years that I thought (YMMV) that season 4 was their best work. The writers did their homework (re: Ed Wood and Bela L.)–their comments are dead-on. I look forward to the extras.

Wasn’t there supposed to be a documentary on the making of Beast of Yucca Flats? Or was that another set?

Wow, now THAT’S a load of extras!

Food Man Chu: Yes, that was in the previous box set (which contained the Beast of Yucca Flats episode).
