  1. The short’s plea against prejudice is actually not a bad one for its time, but using a canine metaphor makes the whole thing odd. What’s more, it’s really hard to train dogs so that they look as if they’re expressing what the narrator says they are. Often the dogs’ attention will wander or they’ll obviously be looking fervently towards their trainer. The kids in the short also have an odd idea of what constitutes a good time. If I didn’t know better, I’d think this short was an attempt to revive “The Little Rascals” for the seventies.

    No joke, it’s kinda weird. The narrator also came off as a bit wooden with his performance.
