What is the DEAL with podcasts using such foul language? It’s so unnecessary!

Wouldn’t normally comment, but this is a pet peeve of mine. I haven’t listened to it, but I assume this is a group of adults having a conversation. Most people who have podcasts don’t tend to feel the need to censor themselves, so if certain words make your ears bleed when you hear them then you should probably not listen to anything that hasn’t been done with your consent.

JamesLF–I’m not judging. It’s just that we are a family Web site and I like to give people enough info to make an informed decision about whether to listen or not — or allow their kids to listen.

Sorry should have specified I was talking to the guy above me. You are correct to warn people about content. It’s just people who complain about bad language who bother me. Like I said it’s a bit of a pet peeve.

I find the word “podcast” offensive.

This was good. At lot of quality time with Frank. He tells an amusing anecdote about growing up in New York during the late 70s and feeling disconnected from the punk rock scene as he was a fan of progressive rock and jazz fusion. Never pegged him as a Weather Report or Mahavishnu Orchestra fan, and figured any King Crimson or ELP jokes in MST came from Kevin or Mike.
And the “adult themes” in this podcast are really mostly “juvenile humor” about diarrhea and masturbation. Nothing too offensive, and the hosts are pretty funny. They even get Frank to do a skit with them.
