Bill’s segment doesn’t have salty language. He is referred to as a “robotics expert.” Robots dating his daughter is brought up. Basically, it’s Bill suffering with some nerd who has a podcast. Enter at your own risk.

Very strange, but Bill seems to take it in stride.

*sigh* “The Amateur Scientist” used to be a really cool column in Scientific American that was actually about amateur science. It dwindled over its last couple decades and finally died completely when the magazine underwent a brilliant change of direction, sacked all its good columnists and hired Michael Shermer. But the memory of “The Amateur Scientist” lived on, undimmed…until some morons decided to appropriate the name for their stupid podcast about god knows what.
It’s just the Internet, this stuff happens, and it’s not that important to anyone or anything…but still. God damn it. It’s a bit like finding out that one of your favorite rock songs was appropriated for a car commercial. The song’s still good but, boy, you’ll never quite forget that it’s now a commercial jingle too.

Let’s put it this way: Bill’s a darn good sport and says some funny stuff despite the doofus he’s talking with. Listen to it, or don’t, you won’t be missing much.

You guys are right! Bill Corbett is a genius, but “The Amateur Scientist Podcast” is the worst show I’ve ever had the misfortune of producing and hosting on a weekly basis for the last few years!

By “Jeer”, of course, I mean “Cheer”. God, I suck!
