RiffTrax WebCast Tonight

RiffTrax hosted a streaming webcast of the panel from last year’s Comic-Con, free, tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific.

The show ran just over an hour, and included the live riffing of SHAKE HANDS WITH DANGER that the guys did to a standing room-only crowd of 1,000 people. After the riffing, there was a question-and-answer session where the audience got to suggest one of the next movies for the guys to riff. (Spoiler alert: the winner was Dragon Wars.)

That worked pretty well. My screen froze up a few times, but they made it all the way through.

  2. I caught the last 20 minutes. Great stuff. I kind of wish it would be made available for everyone to download or stream anytime, though.

Um, some of those suggestions were not very well thought out, huh? So what was that movie the guy was talking about? Aliens in a supermarket? I heard a lot of people yelling THEY LIVE. If so, I hope something they DO make a riff of that. Granted, I’ve seen it maybe 1 1/2 times, but it seems to me that those 80s movies are full of potential for mocking.

I still wish they would do a riff of The Wall

That was kinda fun; only a couple of freeze ups. I love watching the 3 of them together.

One brief freeze at the very beginning. Aside from that one moment the audio was great the entire time, and the video only had a little choppiness when the camera moved around quickly. Otherwise it was fine, and very fun to see. My only problem is that it wouldn’t work on my PS3 (PS3 doesn’t yet support Flash 10 for some idiotic reason) so I had to watch it on my computer instead of on my TV in the comfort of my living room. The previous live shows all worked really well on the PS3. I hope that if they plan on any more live internet shows it goes at least as smoothly as this did.
