Hey! How’d they get my autobiography?

Wonder why it’s $1.99 instead of the usual $0.99…

We charged double the price rather than split it into two parts, since people indicated they would prefer buying the longer shorts in one part.

The same people who complained about two part shorts will probably now complain about the price. Either way I’m happy, but it is nice not to have to wait – I bought this short as soon as I got the email announcing its availability.

I am much happier paying the 1.99. Thanks!

Double the price would be $1.98, not $1.99.
But I have no proper objections.
What exactly is the cutoff point for splitting one of these things in two? The Joan Miller one, for example, was a bit over 20 minutes and was not split; is the limit ~21 minutes, or what?

Definitely prefer paying $1.99 for a whole long short (a long short? Is that an oxymoron like jumbo shrimp or military intelligence?).

This is a good idea. I still prefer to wait for DVD compilations though. I really can’t stand watching these things on my computer and I don’t want to buy a bunch of blank DVD-R discs either.

YES, YES, & YES!
I would much rather the full short for $1.99 than two parts over weeks or months. We watched this one last night and it is equilly hilarious and disturbing. Pick it up, won’t you?

thank you for doing this! would much rather pay the extra buck for the longer short.
and yeah, the corey haim ref. was weird, at least with this being released today.

It seems too dark for my tastes.
I actually liked two-part shorts with the vignettes at the start of the second.

Well observed. Didn’t cross my mind.
@Conner
Thank you guys so much for keeping this (and hopefully future releases) as one long short (whu?). I was definitely one that preferred the 2-parters being preserved whole and sold at a combined price. Thanks for addressing our nit-picky complaints.

Glad they finally went with the $1.99 model for complete longer shorts. Splitting them into two parts wasn’t that bad if the two parts came out close to each other as with The Case of Tommy Tucker, but waiting months between their release while a bunch of other shorts come out in the meantime was the only real problem. Not that it matters much, it’s not like we’re talking about waiting for the next episode of “Dead Wood” or anything, but both American Thrift and Call it Free were very funny shorts, and felt incomplete when they suddenly ended midway through. It would have been best to get the second halves of both of those shorts as the next shorts release. I think releasing them as one complete short for $1.99 will also help in sales because I think some people will be more likely to spend $1.99 once than to buy both parts individually. I’m sure there are enough people out there who bought the first part of some of the two parters and didn’t buy the second when that came out, and this will avoid that completely.

Right, it only happened twice and in the future we’ll just do it this way. Glad people like the short.

For Conor @ RiffTrax – Is there anyway we could actually suggest some shorts for Mike, Kevin & Bill to riff on?
My Mom likes your riffing on educational shorts and she actually had one filmed at her high school. So she asked me to ask somebody at Rifftrax the following:
Do you have any plans to riff on an educational short about dress codes in high school? This one in particular was made in either the mid or late 1950’s and was filmed at Hicksvile High School in Hicksville, NY.
Thanks a lot for reading this.

Hey Chris. There is actually a “Suggest-a-Trax” thread in the Rifftrax forum on their page. You may want to try making the request on their actual page, so everyone at RT will see it.
