Okay, I guess I have to start by explaining who Paul & Storm are, for those who don’t know. The are a comedy music duo, who often perform with Jonathan Coulton (who some will remember sang a couple of songs at the RiffTrax Live show in October). RiffTrax fans will also recall that Jonathan and Paul and Storm did a “RiffTrax Presents” for the movie “Tron.”
So anyway, it was Paul’s birthday the other day, and for his gift Storm assembled a video featuring a number of tributes to Paul. You’ll see our old pal Ken Plume in the beginning, and as you go on you’ll see a funny little segment by Bill Corbett. But finishing up the video is an uproarious number by everybody’s favorite a capella singing group, The United Servo Academy Men’s Chorus, aka Kevin Murphy.
You can watch it here, and you should, even if you’ve never heard of Paul (and you should).
Among those credited as sending their birthday greetings at the end of the video were Adam Savage and Mike and Matt Chapman (the Brothers Chaps.) It’s too bad they didn’t have time to prepare video messages, because the combination of MST3K, Neil Gaiman, Mythbusters, and Homestar Runner in one video would lead to unprecedented levels of win.

I saw Paul and Storm with JoCo when they were in Vancouver last week. They were freakin’ hilarious.

That does, indeed, rule. This Guy, don’t forget the Venture Bros overlap with James Urbaniak.

Of course, now I have “Title of the Song” stuck in my head again…

Funny video. But I never quite get used to Crow’s voice coming out of Bill’s mouth. Just seems wrong somehow. Bill, would you mind holding this puppet whenever you speak from now on? Great to be reminded once again that Kevin has an amazing singing voice!

…even when he’s singing about figs shooting out of… well, give it a listen if you haven’t already.

That was awesome! Even considering how little I know about these guys, I still found it hysterically funny. And Kevin’s just amazing!
#5: snowdog…I totally agree about the “Crow’s voice/Bill’s face” thing. It’s just unsettling somehow.
