This bit from Joel struck me as odd:
“And I think the difference is Mystery Science Theater was really made for people sitting at home watching it on TV, and Cinematic Titanic is more about us performing live. Its kind of like, 20 years later. And for me that’s the biggest difference. Basically everyone who’s coming to see us knows us from Mystery Science Theater, but Cinematic Titanic is really about doing it live. And Mystery Science Theater was really about doing it in a studio.”
Is Joel saying he’s decided that CT belongs on the stage, and not in the studio?

I’ll be sad if they give up on the studio, as I felt they were really settling into a nice tone and easygoing storyline that could keep me hooked. A live show is just people making fun of a movie and that’s not enough for me.
Oh, I’ll still buy them (heck, I’m buying Mike Nelson’s *third pass* on ‘Plan 9’), but I doubt I’ll watch them as often as my favorite “proper” CTs. (Just as I watch my Film Crew discs far more often than any Rifftrax one.)
