“I’m super thrilled,” says the glowing bride.
The groom is a Welsh artist formerly known as Rubin Eynon. The couple met on the bulletin board system of a music web site. In typically unorthodox fashion, Rubin has decided to take Beez’s name, so she remains Beez McKeever and the groom is now Rubin McKeever.
The bride, not surprisingly, made both her and her groom’s outfits.
“I bought the dress at a place called Brides of France and then I got ‘Brides of Francenstein’ on it” she reports. Inspired by photographer Shoichi Aoki’s book about Tokyo street fashion called Fruits, “I removed all bows and excessive poof and turned it into somethin’ a little more urban–complete with a goggle veil, punk rock detachable ‘butt flap’ train and high-heeled Chuck Taylors.”
Rubin would, of course, like to live in the same country as his lovely wife, but for that to happen here in the U.S., he has to get approval from various government bureaucrats. We hear she’s having a bit of trouble convincing Tom Ridge that Rubin deserves her (we suspect Tom is just jealous of Rubin, as every other man in America probably is).
So, while she waits for Tom to come around, Beez will soon be departing these shores to take up temporary residence in the U.K. The couple hope to return to this side of the pond in the not-too-distant future.
On behalf of MSTies on both sides of the Atlantic, we at Satellite News want to extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Rubin and Beez.
