He thought “CT:SCCTM” was superior to the MST3k version? Oh well, to each their own.

I wouldn’t go as far to say that the CT:SCCTM is superior to the MST3K version.Sure, the riffs are different, but for me,it was a combination of the riffs and the host segments, especially “Let’s Have a Patrick Swayze Christmas” that make the MST3K version a lot better!! To each his own,but still, how can you compare one over the other?

It’s a nice review though, and the coolness of having a premise is mentioned, something that will fall by the wayside if they start producing only live DVD versions of CT. I really want to see where the “storyline” is going.

Hmmmm…they are a little late on the bandwagon but good reviews are always welcome. Speaking of the dvds…now that two more titles are in the cannon I would hope that certain titles will be dropped from the live shows and released to dvd soon. I think all of us who can’t get to a show [be it money, time or distance] that we have been very patient waiting for a new dvd. While I 100% support CT in the live show endevour [read that as revenue] I too would like to part of the fun but the only way that is going to happen in the near future is by DVD purchases [read that as another revenue source]. So please placate those of us starving for some hilarity soon. Please!?

That was either edited to shreds or he’s a terrible writer.

Hmmmm… ST:SCCTM vs MST3K:SCCTM… That’s one heck of a Pepsi Challenge there! I’ll have to put it to the test and watch them back to back some day. Though the riffing in the CT version is stronger, the Mistie host segments most assuredly make up any difference, (especially with the added sympathy for the dearly departed Patrick Swayze). I’ll have to give that a try when I have more time, (poetically enough, around Christmas).
As for CT’s touring across the country, I’m more than supportive of them taking the show on the road, and I have no doubts it’s positively great… but it’s been a while since their last DVD and they don’t tour my home town or anywhere near it.

“Hmmmm… CT:SCCTM vs MST3K:SCCTM….”
God forbid Second City TV ever riffs this movie…the ‘SCTV:SCCTM vs MST3K:SCCTM’ acronym is too much for my feeble brain to handle.
