Pitchfork Media quotes the “Music From Some Guys In Space” host segment in its review of the latest album from Goldfrapp. As you can probably guess, it’s not meant to be flattering…

I would have said “The Comic Book Guy” of music reviews, maybe “The Brown Bunny.”

The Music Box is where I saw MST3K:TM for the second and last time in a theater. Unfortunately, I won’t be in town for this.
As for Goldfrapp, I’ve heard the first single off their new album, and I’m wondering what happened to the demented cabaret electronica I liked so much. Now they sound like about 90% of indie bands, signed and unsigned.

i’m moving to chicago in three days. people told me good things about the music box, so i was psyched to see it on their midnight movies lineup. i’ll probabaly drag my brother to see it just like i dragged him to see “manos”: rock opera of fate when i visited last year.
