I’ve been to the Lakeshore Theater before to see them, and by VIP, it just means you’ll definitely be in the first three or four rows of seats. Unless they changed it, that’s all it means.

I wish, wish, wish I could go so bad. But the economy has me out of work, and so I can’t justify paying that much for tickets, let alone buying the DVDs.
And I’m quite certain I’m missing out on something great.

“VIP Seating” is the first 5 rows of the house. (And it’s a very comfortable house, might I add!)

5 shows in three days? Man, will they be tired come midnight on Sat or what? Still, I’m sure they’ll be great. I’m guessing the two shows in one night won’t leave time for meet and greet…

Funny. The ticket person said first 7 rows. Either way, I’ll take my chances like last time and just sit randomly in the back areas. When I did it that way, I still had a very good view.
Was hoping to see ‘Danger on Tiki Island,’ but remembered I have a ‘Beatles Rock Band’ party to attend on Saturday. So…went with my second choice of ‘Alien Factor.’

Since the St. Louis show is only one night, I wish they’d tell us in advance what they’re showing.

I saw The Alien Factor in Philly, so I know that you guys that go to that show are in for a treat. In my opinion though, you can just go for general admission. Once I found a decent seat, I didn’t think sitting six rows up would have made a difference to me at all.
Oh and buy the Alien Factor shirt, because that movie poster is terrifically bad.

 Wish I could go…
Has anyone else noticed that Phase IV is missing parts I and II on Youtube?

I just returned from “East Meets Watts.”
The house was mostly full, there were two seats in my row open, and some others on the sides.
Mary Jo opened with a short, snappy few minutes, followed by some great bits by Dave (Gruber) Allen. Frank came out and performed “Convoluted Man,” aided and abetted by Josh and Gruber. Joel rounded out the opening segment by answering some questions – solicited from the audience by Gruber and RAD.
After a brief intermission – a short promo loop featuring performers coming soon to the Lakeshore – we experienced “East Meets Watts.”
I think they’ve honed this one to the razor’s edge. Some of the puns were painful, but hilarious nonetheless. Both Joel and Trace traded MST callbacks – well received by the audience – that were dismissed by Frank as “pandering.”* Frank later dropped in a callback of his own.
Frank also appeared to commit the only flub: he stumbled over his signature “Danger In [Famous Percussionist] Canyon!” line three times, finally giving up to even greater laughter. (If it was a Kaufmanesque gag, all the better.)
I laughed my head off – so if someone else reports in that there was some really loud laughing guy near the front, it was probably me.
This one was the only show I’ll be able to attend this weekend, but if the other two are as sharp as this one, it will be one hilarious weekend.
*I was with two friends who, while they liked MST wouldn’t be called big fans, didn’t get the references at all. They leaned over after Joel said, “Watch out for snakes!” to uproarious laughter, and asked me, “What does that mean?”
