Virginia Leith – aka Jan-in-the-Pan
Talk about your “out of body” experiences. This episode is a prime example for Joel’s “Science Facts” rule. For example, how did she put on her lipstick?
Seriously, though. You have to give Ms. Leith credit for acting with just her face. No gesture professor for her. RIP

It’s fun to think about the science (or “science”) in these films: what actually seem plausible, in the sense of the viewer’s willingness to go along with it in the context, and what makes you say “I call no way!” The worst always have “science” that doesn’t make any sense, even as science fiction. Jan in the Pan is Exhibit A for the latter. Wasn’t Ms. Leith quoted as saying that this was the worst movie of all time?

The death day for Jorge Stahl Jr. is listed as November 24. Also, he has his birthday listed as July 7, 1921, so should not have the Double Asterisk of Uncertainty.
