RIP Bob Yerkis

Northridge, Los Angeles, Calif. — Film stunt performer Bob Yerkes died Oct. 1, at his home here. He was 92.

Among the productions he worked on were the “Star Wars” movies, but he also slid down a clock tower cable in place of Christopher Lloyd in “Back to the Future” movie, and hung around the Statue of Liberty in place of Fred Ward in “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins.”

The Daily Mirror has the story.

MSTies will recall that he performed stunts in the movie in episode 512- MITCHELL.

Thanks to Gordan for the heads up.

He was also a regular part of Circus of the Stars back in the day, teaching celebrities how to be trapeze artists.
