For some reason this Rifftrax short reminded me of a walking-home-from-school event when I was ten. My dad has died and we were as poor as church mice. I had on a pair of Payless canvas sneakers that were too small for my growing feet that had rotten shoe strings with multiple knots where they had broken. I made frequent stops on the way home to stop and tie them when they came loose and one time a nice old man came out of his house and offered me an extremely vintage pair of hogskin brogans. They had cobwebs in them. I told him no thank you and went on my way. If I could find out today who he was I would visit his grave to thank him again and tell him that I will NEVER forget his act of kindness for a little boy.

Well, at least, there was no racoon/bear hybrid in the short.
