Am I the only person who found that several shorts(including “One Got Fat”) have the irritating sound-drop problem? I had the same problem when I downloaded it. You would think it wouldn’t be on the DVD. It’s infuriating because it kills the pace of the jokes. “One Got Fat” is so funny but trying to watch it is really annoying.

Still haven’t seen Rifftrax mentioned at any store websites, like BestBuy.ca
I will assume these are internet only DVDs.

I remember seeing One Got Fat in school when I was in 4th grade. I remember how dated it was then ( I saw it in ’82 I think) and I was ECSTATIC to recognize it in the Rifftrax shorts collection. I went for the Deep Discount 10-pack, and so far have watched most of the flicks that Mike did Han Solo earlier, and the shorts discs three times each. I really think these are strong. Extremely so. I hope they keep putting out the shorts compilations. Lord knows there are always more to be made fun of. Here’s an idea: Riff filmstrips! As far as educational short films go, filmstrips rule their own personal stratum of hell.

Actually, there are TWO shorts on this DVD that have that jerky-like motion. Don’t know why. Very annoying.

It was nice to see the Mr. Bungle short in its entirety. The Pee Wee Herman Show, an old HBO special, also has that short. It’s funny on its own, especially when that boy is getting a piece of cake. The timing between the narrator saying, “And there’s something he REALLY want,” and the shot of the girl that’s ahead of the boy, is perfect.

Did anyone else get a copy of this DVD with two shorts in jerky-motion? Did Shout Factory! ever explain why the DVD was released this way?
