There’s a pair of bluebirds that have returned to nest in a birdhouse I built eleven years ago just for them. He still brings her bugs and grubs while she is nest bound. He even sticks his head down into the hole to make sure she can reach. Now that’s LOVE. Happy Valentines Day, Everyone.

I looked it up. Bluebirds only live six to ten years, so maybe these are a second generation. Watching them from the porch in the morning with a warm cup of tea is still sublime. Definitely better than sitting in a pop-up camper with a baloney sandwich watching the Creature radar.

But have you SEEN the little Creature, Jay? And how does the Creature know if it’s love? I’m sure this educational short will help it figure out if it wants to order lamb or lobster Cantonese to find all the answers.
(Also, I like your story about the bluebirds. That image of watching them some morning really is sublime.)
