Pre-ordered mine through Deep Discount DVD. It arrived yesterday.
So far I’ve watched The Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy. I trust I’m not the first to point out that it really sucks and doesn’t deserve the semi-cool title.

Our Best Buy had it Saturday.

I’m trying to figure out if Pumaman is serious.
It seems too exaggerated to be seriously angry over this.

Hey, that’d be a good tagline for the site
“If you don’t watch MST3K then F— you”

No no, it’s POOmaman. POOmaman.

Pumaman has been making some sort of effort lately to troll these boards. So far, it ain’t working out for him.

That has to rank as one of the oddest uses of profanity I’ve ever seen.
“How old are you, 39?”
“No, I’m 40, screw you.”
“Oh, ok, burn in hell then.”
“No problem, eat crap and die.”

we all know what those little stars are.
there’s no need for profanity.
most of us are adults here and those who aren’t are overly mature for their age (else they wouldn’t be watching this show).
Profanity doesn’t impress us.

Amazon shipped my pre-order with an estimated delivery date of July 8. I am hoping it will come tomorrow. I always loved Robot Vs. Aztec Mummy and am looking forward to a good commercial release of it. The MST3K versions of those Commando Cody shorts on the season one episodes are still some of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on TV and definitely helped get me hooked on the show early on.

For anyone curious, I was joking. Haha, frak you!

mine is scheduled for 7-10…which is fine since I wont watch until the weekend anyway
interesting that Deep Discount (comment 2) shipped and came early..
Robot vs the Aztec Mummy isnt great, but I do like the fact that SF is putting out Season 1 which gives them a few more titles open to release (like Robot Monster, Slime People), I like the hisorical aspect of Robot vs the Aztec Mummy..

There is also a pretty solid review over at DVD Verdict. They put it up last week, but it’s on the front page now under “Released Today”. Like most other reviewers, they aren’t big fans of Season 1.

When did “street” become a verb?

I hope I find a job soon before all these DVDs are sold out or discontinued. Thank god for youtube or I’ve never see MST3K.

Futurama’s Bender doesn’t think the running gag has run out of steam. And if you do he says:
“You can bite my shiny metal ass.”

And I expect Volume 16 to be a one humdinger of a set (or hamdinger)
I am really starting to imagine something like Squirm Diabolik, Crawling Eye or some non public domain popular episodes coming based on what Ive read…should be a great set (( I HOPE ! ))

Watched Aztec Mummy last night. Love the animated menus and the extras are terrific. On top of the tightly edited KTMA clips we get a Comedy Channel promo clip (hilarious) and a trailer with a Something Weird Video watermark.

Got mine today. Watched the Scrapbook thingees. Also watched Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy and Girl in Lover’s Lane. Wow. What a difference in the polish of the later episode. They really improved alot as the seasons went by. Well, up until…don’t get me started.
Hope they get more behind the scenes stuff for later releases.

My copy of Volume XV arrived today and I watched Robot Vs. Aztec Mummy almost immediately. I hadn’t seen it in years and I’m happy to report it was just as funny as I remembered it. The opening host segment, the Commando Cody short, everything was just hilarious. I also still love the story arc with the “demon dogs” in the host segments. Great stuff foreshadowing even greater things to come!

I got mine today and decided watch Robot vs.the Aztec Mummy.
Im sorry, but I like the episode, and its pretty funny. Not bad at all. Yes it was early and they got better, but I was entertained and had a good time and a good nap.
I was supposed to watch a Netflix movie tonight but it arrived damaged…oh the humanity (& great shipping time by Amazon) so I watched MST instead

Why is it Mexican horror films have archeologists instead of scientists? (Things like this keep me awake at night.)
This is a complete off-the-cuff guess on my part, but here goes…
There was, and still is, a ton of archeology going on in Mexico due to the Inca and Mayan ruins scattered throughout the country. Cutting edge science & technology had never been as large a part of their national character/identity.

Has Shout announced when/if the episodes will be on Amazon’s Unbox? I’m semi-addicted to sending movies to my Tivo that way.

Is that music video on the Zombie Nightmare disk in reference to Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo! That’s my team! Well, it would be if I watched hockey like every other Canadian male.

I got mine yesterday on my birthday along with 4 of the new Rifftrax dvd’s. It was a good birthday. I’m trying to think of an appropriate swear word to end this thread with.
POOPIE.
