By the way, the comic strip The New Adventures Of Queen Victoria — http://www.gocomics.com/thenewadventuresofqueenvictoria — appears to be using the MST3K format to make a rerun week more interesting, starting today.
According to his comment in the 6th July strip, he found getting material to work with the format ended up taking longer than doing an original week of strips would, but isn’t that what always happens when cartoonists think they have a fine way to save time?

While I agree that Josh is an essential part of MST history, both his characters didn’t work for me. Servo seems flat, and Erhardt annoys the hell out of me. However, that said, Josh is absolutely hysterical in “Cinematic Titanic”. He has become my favorite part of that series. His wise-ass delivery(reminding me of Norm MacDonald) makes me laugh every time. He’s a perfect example of development of skills over time.

This is a very good review. It’s refreshing for a reviewer not to rag on Season 1. I’m really looking forward to this and every SF! release.

my local Best Buy had volume XV on the shelves when my boyfriend and I stopped in last thursday, 7/2. needless to say, we purchased it immediately, along with a few snacks, and ran home to watch as many episodes as we could, as soon as possible. i love it when stores don’t pay attention to release dates!

I actually love Josh on MST; his version of Tom is great (“Nobody drinks from my gal!”); and I think Erhardt is funny.
This is just my opinion, though; I can actually understand why people don’t like him.

Too bad they don’t present Rifftrax as a reality show where they looked for ghosts in bad movies. Then SyuuuhFyuuh might be interested in airing the show.

You need a hyphen somewhere in there, Pumaman. (Can you guess where?) Then again, you don’t seem to be all that articulate, or very imaginative, so we’re not surprised.

Haha, I was bored and decided to leave a lame comment. It’s the response that’s funny!

Watched “Zombie Nightmare” last night. Am I the only who would have been willing to pay $10-$20 more for this boxset if it had included a CD copy of the “Zombie Nightmare” soundtrack? The interview with Frank Dietz and Jon Mikl Thor was pretty cool. But man on man, the past couple of decades have not been kind to Jon Mikl Thor, he went from a Valerie Bertinelli lookalike to looking like one of those old man critics on The Muppets!!!!???

Thor isn’t as buff as he used to be, but he’s still built. Just look at his performance of “We Live to Rock” on the Rock n’ Roll Nightmare to see what I mean. I think he looks much worse on the interview because he was photographed sitting down. But I agree with you on the soundtrack; maybe Code Red will include the OST on their DVD.
