RIP Austin Stoker

LOS ANGELES — Actor Austin Stoker, an immigrant from Trinidad who appeared in films including “Assault on Precinct 13,” “Battle for the Planet of the Apes,” “Sheba, Baby” and the ABC miniseries “Roots” died at a hospital here Oct. 7. He was 92.

MSTies will recall his performances as Dr. Ken Melrose in the movie in episode 405- BEING FROM ANOTHER PLANET and as a dive officer in the movie in episode 814- RIDING WITH DEATH.

    In the seventies he got to work with Pam Grier which I am sure was an outa sight experience. Can ya dig it? RIP

    If you’re into action films, I highly recommend John Carpenter’s “Assault on Precinct 13.” Austin was very good along side Darwin Joston as Napoleon Wilson who was always asking people if they had a cigarette on them. RIP Mr.Stoker.
