Woodland Hills, Calif. — Menacing character actor Henry Silva, who frequently played bad guys in many films including the original “Oceans 11” and the original “Manchurian Candidate,” died Sept. 14 at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital here, one day short of his 96th birthday.
Silva was the last surviving star of the original “Oceans 11” movie. MSTies will remember his role as evil Bronx clearer Floyd Wrangler in the movie in episode 705- ESCAPE 2000.

Another one of those “I may not know his name but I know that face” actors who made movies and TV shows better. His characters were always so intense. RIP
I thought Silva’s character in ‘Escape 2000’ was Lloyd Wengler.

I loved his performance as the assassin in Sharky’s Machine.
As an actor you know you have done a good job when the next generation of movies are loaded with characters that are clones of you. I am thinking of the bad guy in “Crocodile Dundee II”, but several others come to mind. RIP
