DOMINICAN REPUBLIC–actor Ray Liotta, best known for portraying the real-life mobster Henry Hill in the Martin Scorsese-directed film “Goodfellas,” died in his sleep here. He was 67.
The actor was in the Dominican Republic, shooting a new film.
The Associated Press has the story.
MSTies may recall that Liotta was mentioned in a host segment in episode 904- WEREWOLF.
Wow, he was so young! And I really enjoyed his work. He always seemed like someone who would speak his mind, without necessarily being nasty about it. I loved Liotta’s reaction to the baseball announcer who complained about how his batting in Field of Dreams was the opposite of the real Shoeless Joe Jackson:
“‘(Bleep) you! He didn’t come back from the dead either!’ Liotta recalled thinking.”

It’s always a bit disconcerting when someone dies who is the same age as me.

RIP. Great actor, but I still wouldn’t want him in my werewolf movie.
