You can read the whole thing at the link above, but here are the highlights:
Four of the episodes that will be shown are 410- HERCULES AGAINST THE MOON MEN, 505- THE MAGIC VOYAGE OF SINBAD, 513- THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN’T DIE and 816- PRINCE OF SPACE.
There will be four other surprises chosen during the marathon!
So far we know the titles for season 13 will include “Gamera vs. Jiger” (1970), “Robot Wars” (1993), “Demon Squad” (2019) and (probably) “Beyond Atlantis” (1973). More will he announced on Thursday.
Unlike the Netflix seasons, the episodes will be released as they’re finished instead of dropping all of them at once for the sake of binging.
I’ve gotten hooked on Dark Corners’ five-minute bad-movie-recap YouTube channel (a great bad-movie critic who points out the funny plot holes, and likes good B-movies, without falling into the easy Mike-fan bully trap of “It’s bad because it IS, that’s all!”), and “Beyond Atlantis”, if we get it, is….richly MST3K fodder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJo_rtB8FHQ
Producer Joel probably picked it because it looked like it should have Doug MacClure in it, but keep working your way back through the 80’s to the 70’s, Joel, you’ll find the gold there.
(And “The Gamera We Didn’t Do Last Time…Oh, did we mention he’s full of meat?” is also pretty riff-worthy, IIRC.)

“Unlike the Netflix seasons, the episodes will be released as they’re finished instead of dropping all of them at once for the sake of binging.”
I think it might be more accurate to say the episodes will be released one at a time, instead of “as they’re finished,” since they are filming them together in chunks on the east and west coasts. It’s semantics, but they’re not being done truly one at a time as they were in the Best Brains days, although post-production might be more individualized than filming is.

” Mike-fan bully trap ”
” Joel, you’ll find the gold there.”
yeah perfectly non biased analysis

They just announced DR. MORDRID. Nice to see Charlie Band making a return to the show, plus Jeffrey Combs!

I know he is busy with Rifftrax, but I love to somehow see Mike’s input in at least one episode! (Love both MST3K and Rifftrax still though)
Most interesting is to see another Santo and Munchie!

As we already knew, the next announcement was: “Gamera vs. Jiger” (1970)

Su Maru! I never seen the season K version, the Rifftrax version was funny though. So Joel, Mike and Jonah have all riffed it!

Yes, RiffTrax did it in the summer of 2019 and MST3K did it for KTMA in May of ’89. This ranks it up there with Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

H.G. Wells’ The Shape of Things To Come! I don’t think they’d covered films from the Canadian tax shelter era since KTMA (Last Chase, City on Fire).

Looks like 1961’s The Mask is the 3D Halloween special. Good choice!

Did anybody else see the two minutes or so of Manos, that then got yanked?

You know, all of these would of fit sci fi era. Except su maru. Then again Sci Fi channel has such a lose meaning of the word (Dantes Peak was on that channel once) and lets not forget Riding with Death and Agent for Harm being shown or season 10)
Btw, bet Joel is doing Su Maru.

The Bubble! Wow, that looked creepy as heck.

By my count, there are three movies that have been/will be riffed by MST and its alumni projects: “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” (MST, RT, CT), “Santa Claus” (MST, RT, the Mads) and “Manos” (MST, RT, Mads). “Su-Maru” might qualify, since the KTMA riff was ad-libbed and had a different production team from the upcoming scripted riff from the current group.

I got my wish for a new Palance film.
Now I really want to see Hobgoblins 2,but unlikely (mike turned it down for rifftrax as it is apparently too obvious it’s a comedy) or the OTHER bogey creek 2.
There are other ones I like as well to see (rifftrax did answer one I wanted forever with Lepus)

Next: The Bubble (1966)

So by my count, we have 12 new episodes, and all that’s left is to reveal the Christmas special…I would love to hear that they are teaming up to take on one of the most epic holiday failures of all time: The Star Wars Holiday Special.

Last but not least is The Christmas Dragon, a 2014 film that will be the three-riffer Christmas special! This was their backup movie because their initial choice for the special ran into rights issues. Looks like a bizarre low-budget fantasy cheesefest that will be perfect for the show!

ComicBook.com posted all 13 films. Nice to see a few Mexi Horror films. El Santo and the Treasure of Dracula is weird without riffing, so that one will be fantastic! And I loved Batwoman – I watch it over and over.
Didn’t expect they’d go back to KTMA era for Sumuru but I’m definitely looking forward to it!

It’s…actually not that bad. Nothing with Jeffrey Combs ever is.
And no, he’s not Benedict Cumberbatch, but he’s not the 70’s TV-movie Doctor Strange, either.
If The Bubble is the 3-D special, it’s…well, it’s still weird and strange, but it’s good some good effects. Speaking as one who watched the Blu3D version.
(Oh, what, you didn’t buy one of the screens twelve years ago? Lemme guess: “Oh, those greedy studios, as soon as we buy one, they’ll come out with 4-D Smell-O-Vision! I’m not going to buy one until we get that glasses-free set Samsung said they were going to give us next year”)
No one’s quite sure who OWNS it: It’s not public-domain, so it hasn’t surfaced on Amazon (Rifftrax just assumed everyone already had their own bootleg version), and George Lucas only owns the “good” animated Boba Fett segment he produced, so Disney+ just got a hold of that.
Oh….darn. I was hoping that if they could do RT territory, like S12 did ChristmasThat Almost Wasn’t, maybe “I Believe in Santa Claus” could get the true, ahem, respect it deserves.

I really hope they get around to Warlords of Atlantis. I saw it as a kid and loved the giant octopus attacks.

So, who else stuck around for the premiere of Crow’s student film?

The Mask is the 3-D episode.
Su-Muru is probably a Jonah episode, as he is a huge fan of that movie, evidenced by the poster hanging on the wall behind him during Zoom calls.
The two minutes or so of Manos that played was just one of those Turkey Day bumpers, “Mstie Moments,” I believe they’re called. I’m glad they didn’t show those on loop this year!
That’s enough ‘splains for today ;)

The Batwoman i think is going to be an Emily film.

For a second, I wondered whether THE Batwoman was an off-canon reboot, like Robert Pattinson’s “THE Batman”…
But no, looks like this is the comic-approved Mexican version, with no Ratfink, Mole People or Chinese seances: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5Din9rJGBc
So, yeah, I guess that would make it one.

I wonder if Munchie is Jonah’s Hobgoblins/Manos? (You know rewatching them over the Summer, season 6 had perhaps the highest number of hard to watch films. Of course some of the films on Rifftrax make Manos look good though… )
