With a career spanning over 45 years, Golonka played recurring roles on “The Doctors,” “Joe & Valerie” and “1st & 10” and appeared in episodes of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “M*A*S*H” and “The King of Queens.”
MSTies may recall that she was mentioned in a host segment in episode 805- THE THING THAT WOULDN’T DIE.
Ms. Golonka was another victim of Alzheimer’s, the insidious disease that steals people out of their living bodies. I hope she did not suffer long with the knowledge of what was coming. RIP

She was one of those actors you instantly recognize, even if you don’t remember their name or what they were in. She pretty much became a staple of ’70s and ’80s television, and it was always good to see her. She will be missed.
BTW, the show that she was on called “The Doctors” wasn’t the medical talk show we have now. It was a soap opera that started off many careers in the ’60s and ’70s. I’ll always think of Alec Baldwin as Dr. Aldrich because of it.
