It was the Volkswagen van school bus that was the star of the show for me. You just know it was headed for a Montessori school.

Rhythmic Ball Skills is one of the better shorts from ‘Beach Party’, nice to see a studio version

That car short makes X Marks the Spot look sane, what is it with the afterlife and their obsession with automotive safety

It’s kinda weird when they riff something live, you buy the live show, and then they try to sell you a studio version with identical riffs. If I want a file with just the short, I’ll just extract it from the live show. Why would I pay more to get a virtually identical (and lower-energy, IMO) studio version? If you want to make it available to people who don’t buy the live show, why not just extract the live short and sell that? Why go to the trouble of re-recording it?

The only people that I can see buying these are people who hate live riffs. Are there enough people like that to make this profitable? Sorry to vent, but I’m genuinely confused about this. If they make money off of this, then it obviously makes sense to do it.

They actually have done that before. The only version of ‘Halloween Party’ (featuring the “lady scarecrow”) I’ve seen was taken directly from the live version, without the rest of the show.

Have you even viewed the clips?

They’ve revised the shorts to add new jokes.

After the live show, Bill showed his daughter, Mollie, demonstrating rhythmic ball movements.

She was quite good and looked like she was having fun.

In the past when they’ve added new jokes or content, they’ve mentioned it in the write-up. They didn’t this time, so I assumed that these were just studio re-dos like the Miami Connection studio riff (I think there may be other examples, but I can’t remember them off the top of my head). Why would I expect otherwise, and watch a preview of something I’ve already seen? If there is truly new content, then that makes these more appealing.

For no particular reason, an odd item I came across that reminded me of “Rhythmic Ball Skills”:

That should read, “It’s my mother dear, …”. I’m sure you’re a nice guy, RedZone, but I hardly know you.
