CT in DallasWe’ve been given the title of the movie that the Cinematic Titanic crew will be riffing this Friday at the Lakewood Theater in Dallas. It’s the 1978 flick “The Alien Factor,” which was previously announced would also be riffed at the following Friday’s Philadelphia show.

You’re a little behind the curve there. They’ve had a summary of the film up on the CT website and they were already selling posters and T-shirts for the film at the Portland show.
(Though, now that East Meets Watts (fka Dynamite Brothers) has been retired, I wonder how soon that will make it’s debut on DVD…)

They had the posters and shirts for Alien Factor in Phx too. It looks like it will be a fun one!

So,they’ll be selling the poster of The Alien Factor this Friday?? When I read somewhere that they’ll be signing posters,I assumed they meant the posters they sell on their website.I didn’t think it was the movie they were riffing..Great!!!

Thomas: Yes, the perform an elaborate and inscrutable performance piece in which they converse with people and sign autographs. :-)

So,I’m assuming that since CT are doing “The Alien Factor” instead of “East Meets Watts” this Friday, that “East Meets Watts” will soon be on dvd pretty soon then? Maybe later this month or early next month?? Hope so..

Can’t wait to see them. I was lucky enough to catch them last year at the film festival … what have I done to deserve two live shows in one year? Maybe this is my reward for some past suffering.
P.S. Any news on what will be shown Saturday night?

Yes, we need Saturday information!
I can only go Saturday, thanks to my bizarro work schedule. I’ll be in on the floor, Section B, Row 8, Sat 12 (on the aisle).

According to their newsletter, Saturday’s show should be Danger on Tiki Island. Looks fun.

i asked about skits because when music acts do in store they do acoustic songs – i’ve never been to a preformance related in store so i had no idea. =)
i may or may not be there. i presented the idea to my friend. i guess we could meet them then and not have to worry about post-show lines.
