Here’s what you need to know about Joel’s event on Friday.
Clear your calendars, MSTies: On October 30, you’re invited to the Second Annual Puppet Camp and Startling Conclusion of the MIGIZI Fundraiser! This event will feature a telethon-style final push on the fundraiser we began in July to help MIGIZI rebuild, as well as the public premiere of TWO BRAND NEW MST3K SHORTS, riffed by Joel Hodgson, J. Elvis Weinstein and Bill Corbett reprising their roles as Joel Robinson, Tom Servo and Crow.
The two shorts will be “A Busy Day at the County Fair” and “Behind the Scenes at the Supermarket.”
This live-streamed event will feature performances by Puddles the Clown, Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House, TikTok sensation Toiley T. Paper and puppet visionary Wayne White (Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Beauty is Embarrassing). Hosting duties fall to the cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live.
Catch it LIVE on MST3K.org, the MST3K Facebook page, or the MST3K YouTube channel starting at 9pm ET (6pm PT).
I’m planning on watching this, and the live performance of “Plan 9” tonight, with Jonah and Baron in the cast.
i hope the 2 new shorts will be on Youtube later on (so for us who miss it).
(Crawls out from under rock) Wait, where’s the live performance? I don’t see it on MST3k.com … help a brotha out!
Go to sfsketchfest.com. It’s an outside production.
Josh’s Servo with Bill’s Crow. That’s going to be surreal.
Oh boy, this is going to be grrreat….
As far as the brand new shorts with Joel.Josh and Bill, they’re hilarious. Watched them last night….The titles are A Busy Day at the County Fair and Behind the Scenes at the Supermarket…
I hate Tom Servo’s old/Crow’s new voice!
that was fun, lots of vegedabbles
A few technical hitches, but I thought it turned out well. I thought the new shorts were great, and I liked the segment with J.Elvis, Bill, Joel and Jonah. And whenever they went to the fund-raising total, I couldn’t help but do a drum roll, followed by humming, “What the World Needs Now”.
I hope Kevin prints your comment out on a daisy wheel printer and posts it in his office…
That clown was frightening…
