I’m watching my DVD now, but can’t help thinking, “It seems kind of mean to make Josh and Trace stand the whole time.”

But they’ve got those great railings to lean on. And they’re more visible than the others…

Jay mentions that Rifftrax has done the complete first season of Heroes? I must have missed all but the first two episodes.

Jay’s wrong. only the first 2 eps of Heroes were done.

The DVD just came in the mail. It took the mailman a half-hour to clean out his bag.

Hopefully future releases will come in a real DVD case as opposed to a simple white envelope?? (I had to steal one of my daughter’s Hello Kitty dvd cases to keep it in) Not a bad premier episode, and I am sure the format will be tweaked as things roll along. Great to hear Trace, Joel and Frank again after so many years away!
Now….when is the next release?

I’d certainly appreciate that, but I wouldn’t count on it. It’s not the way EZTakes works.
But given the success, maybe lining up a partner for “real” distribution is a possibility in the future.

Finally got mine! Very cool!
Didn’t understand the silhouette on the screen or the rude people talking during the movie? WTF?
Excellent movie, well acted and a quality script.
Now loose the silhouette and the people talking…..

None of these articles mentions “Film Crew”–What gives??

As of right now, the Film Crew is not a going concern. While the four DVD have come out now, there are no more planned and no further Film Crew stuff seems to be in the pipeline. The guys seem committed to Rifftrax at this point.

A shame. I thought the four Film Crew movies were excellent, while I’m not really into the whole rifftrax thing. CT’s first showing was great, but honestly if the next release doesn’t come with a DVD case, I might pass. I can provide my own case, but their shipping method leaves scratches on the disc, and that’s just not acceptable to me.

Received the Oozing Skull last Monday, Watched it Three Times now, and it is Excellent.
almost wanted to shed a tear at the A-team Riffers. I enjoyed the brief skits, but wish they would do real skits, or have extras interviewing them etc. hopefully in the future they will add to the show.
Yeah the mailing in an envelope is nuts, I don’t care about having to supply my own case, but at least ship it in bubble wrap etc, so it doesn’t get broken or scratched.
I am surprised of the lack of media attention,
I would figure shows like Attack of the Show on
G4 would have picked this up, they try really hard at being Hip on all things cool on the net. I mean they give air time to Chocolate Rain??? Also, they did mention Rifftrax once.

I’d really like to see Wil Wheaton as a guest riffer on Rifftrax. That would be brilliant.

I don’t care for the bare envelope shipping method, either, but it won’t deter me, particularly if it is a real DVD and not a DVD-R. It’s worth it and I’m sure that if it arrived DOA, I could get a replacement.
Still, EZTakes/DVD Wagon should ask themselves if it’s worth saving the buck (or less) extra it would cost to mail it in a proper bubble envelope given the irritation this is causing people.
Oh, and for those looking for a DVD case insert, mine is up here:

It finally hit me why I don’t feel “connected” to CT’s no frills format: there is no set up. Nada. Nothing. Nil. Zilch. Bupkes. You are violently thrown into the film. Even Rifftrax has a two minute intro. CT feels like I crashed a cool riff party and could be given the bum’s rush at any moment.
For future releases, please add a two minute intro, a tiny sliver of set up, so as to welcome me, the buyer of your product, into the proceedings. It’s not too much to ask for $15, is it? That and a friggin’ jewel box or a cardboard envelope.
