I kept expecting Norm Abrams to show up and do a demo(lition) on this movie.
From IMDb.com:
“Director Rob Roy has had a strong connection to wolves his entire life. It started after he first saw Balto (1995) and it inspired him to create his own wolf film which eventually became Lycan Colony. He even attempted to contact Kevin Bacon for a cameo but was chased off the actor’s property, ironically by dogs in 2003.”
As far as I can determine, no one involved with this movie has any association with an MST3K film.
Evan after making this movie, no one involved with it has an association with any actual film.
((mouths) “…Rob Roy”?)
Don’t know why, but somehow, I just sort of expected this to be on his resume’.
From the cover, I expected this direct-to-video to be another David DeCoteau Amazon-Primer, directed by “Veronica duPrez”, but Mr. Roy does come as a surprise. ((mouths) “…Rob Roy”??)
Think the description needs more desperate attempts to attach “Birdemic” to it, though.
If you haven’t seen the trailer for this Rifftrax, you should. The comments by Mike, Bill and Kevin have got me VERY curious to see it.
All that’s missing is “Fingerhead”.
Saw that, a little nervous about it. Even as a joke, repeating “This is the worst movie in all human history” in several different ways comes across as more than a bit desparate.
That’s from “The Mole People”, right? “Yes, Captain Fingerhead.”
Clearly a fan of Kurt Vonnegut’s novel “Hocus Pocus.” Or perhaps an even more arcane reference…
The e-mail notification Rifftrax sent me had this subject line:
“”This is the worst movie we’ve ever done.” – Mike Nelson”
Which, clearly, isn’t the same thing as “worst in all human history.” ;-)
I kind of doubt that it’s even the worst Rifftrax film. Featuring werewolves in and of itself gives it at least a MILD advantage over some of their “worst” films which do NOT feature werewolves. IMHO werewolves would improve virtually any movie, perhaps not QUITE as much as ninjas would, but still……
BTW, upon posting, does everyone get this message:
“Your comment is awaiting moderation. This is a preview, your comment will be visible after it has been approved.”
Or have I been singled out for having such a caustic wit? The former seems more likely. ;-)
Once again, the Right People Got It. :)

I’ve been getting that too on occasion. It’s weird, especially with some of the stuff they allow.
I’m the one who STARTED getting it, and you know why. It’s the Mods’ case-by-case answer to some posters’ “Let’s get rid of icky people we don’t like”, and instead keep the discussions on topic.
Which, frankly, Touch’s, er, ruminations start to wander off of, the closer to the end of the threads. Yep, they’ve noticed, too.
It’s getting to be a bit of a tired well, that RT sorts its descriptions into big category bins of “Movies we can compare to Final Justice”, “Movies we can compare to The Room”, “TV things we can compare to Star Wars Holiday Special”, and “Amateur direct-videos we can compare to Birdemic”, but I will confess to double-taking at that bad stock-clip-art-CGI Couldn’t-Afford-to-Break-Real-Glass moment. 0_0
Which brings us back to the debate of whether it’s just petty and desperate for RT to pick on every backyard starveling that tries to get its video shown on Prime, although the Birdemic director was obnoxious enough in his self-promotion to deserve it. At least the comparison was….apt.
After five or six years of bi-weekly postings about how tiresome and unoriginal you find RIFFTRAX, you think it would be a good time to just quit?
I ruminate about any number of things. Eric ruminates about the same thing again and again and again and again and again and again. I hardly think the situations are comparable. ;-)
Lots of paranoia here about “awaiting moderation.”
All I know is that the only time I get my posts taken down is when I make some reference to Forbidden Websites. You know, the ones with free rooms TO RRENT.
Mine get moderated when I hit “quote” to the misogynist’s posts. And yet his posts get approved. I think that says a lot about what the mods here believe in and approve of.
I don’t think you and I have the same opinions about the show, but I always enjoy your posts, and even more so now when there is so little activity here – often your posts are the only thing keeping a thread alive.
