Just noticed, as part of their sci-fi dvd sale, Amazon has the 20th Anniversary box and the XIV set for almost half off. They also have The Film Crew’s Killers from Space for almost half off as well. Thought other folks who hadn’t picked up the latest sets might want to know.
Thanks for the tip!
Anyone who has a Half Price Books store near them might also check there for Film Crew DVDs. I don’t know what the situation might be other places in the US, but I have seen at least two of the DVDs at multiple HPB stores. They weren’t just as used second hand copies, either, they were still sealed with multiple copies piled up as HPB sometimes does with certain non-used DVDs and books that they get large quantities of. I already owned all four DVDs so I didn’t pay much attention to them other than just to notice them, and I can’t remember which specific episodes they were (I’m fairly certain the Killers From Space was one). But I do remember seeing two different episodes at one store.

Oh, also I believe they were either $6.99 or $7.99 each.

A couple of the Rhino sets are also under $40 and MST3K: The Movie is only $9.99.

Already got the episodes, so don’t need the overpriced set. 60 or 35, still overpriced.

Thanks for the notice. I went ahead and ordered the 20th anniversary set.

Yeah, gee, why pay for something when you already have it for free?

Less than $10 per broadcast quality episode is overpriced? You really take the cake…

Yeah, I already got the eps, and I didn’t get them for free. MST3K got plenty of my money already, and they’re FLEECING you guys for a handful of crappy ones.

I’m not sure where else you could get them and still have the money go to the creators. Buying burned disks doesn’t give them any money.
