Whidbey Island, Wash.–Wayne Fitzgerald, the main title designer of hundreds of films and television shows including “Apocalypse Now,” “The Graduate,” “Chinatown,” “Dallas,” “The Searchers,” “The Godfather” and “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” died here Sept. 30. He was 89.
MSTies will remember his work for the movie in episode 615- KITTEN WITH A WHIP.

I don’t think I really appreciated good titles in films until I saw so many bad ones in MST3K and Rifftrax movies. It’s an art. RIP
He also did the titles for Rod Serling’s Night Gallery. A very talented man. RIP.
