RIP Toni Morrison Toni Morrison, the Nobel laureate in literature whose best-selling work explored black identity in America — and in particular the often crushing experience of black women — through luminous, incantatory prose resembling that of no other writer in English, died on Aug. 8 at a hospital in the Bronx. She was 88.

When Toni Morrison was two years old their landlord set fire to their house with the family inside because they could not pay the rent. They all got out safe. Instead of hurling hatred they responded by laughing at him. This story seems particularly poignant during this time when so many are trying to set fires of hatred.

Another tangentially related passing. Comic book artist Ernie Colon passed away last Thursday at the age of 88. His MST connection? He co-created Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld, which Crow was seen reading in a host segment of Episode 621, The Beast of Yucca Flats.

It also seems particularly bunkum from a business point of view. I’m not making money from my income producing property. I know, I will destroy my income producing property. Problem solved!
I call folksy origin story foul.

Do you have anything to back up your statement? Befouling a Nobel laureate requires more evidence than just an opinion.
