Shout! Factory Hits YouTube

Shout! Factory now has its own channel on Youtube, and one of its features is all four Film Crew titles, in their entirety. Like Hulu, some commercial breaks, but they’re bearable.

Wonderful. Forgive me for asking but why? I’m very pleased but it doesn’t really make sense.

Awesome. Unlike with Hulu, I can download YouTube videos to my Mac and stream them to my Xbox.

    extremely cool.
Just guessing but as far as the why, i imagine there shout factory isn’t making that much money off of these anymore.

Airing them on youtube with commercials gets them more revenue and a chance to promote there other products.

I posted this to Metafilter, where it got favorited 42 times. (And it only gets four comments here? Wow.) Watched one of them last night, Wild Women of Wongo, and it was great, one of the best things M-K-B have done post MST and equal to some of the better episodes of the show.

Even though I own copies of all four FC movies, I’ve watched “Wongo” and “Killers from Space” on YouTube, and from what I can tell, there are NO commercial breaks.
