Oh, God… bad fake Chinese voiceovers live. That’s what theater is all about.

Well. And who said that theater was dead?!

Is anybody going to be seeing this? I’m actually quite tempted to travel over to Portland now.

Will Trace Beaulieu be playing Professor Neon?

From the too stupid to be true file.
But I assure you it is!

Well,we better start stockpiling the canned goods, folks, because clearly the Apocalypse is upon us.

I’m going to guess the actors have stage fright and are hoping nobody will go watch them with the material they’re using.

Road Trip!!! Unfortunately, Chicago is a bit too far to make it to Portland, even for this. We were fortunate though, in having a stage musical version of “Manos” in Chicago a couple of years ago. Yes, you did read that correctly.

Finally, something I can go to! I’ll be there!

Last Rites is the same troupe that did “Manos”, right? I saw that production on YouTube, and my God, it was hilarious! This sounds good!

I’d see this if it were playing locally.

Yay, a chance to see two pretty ladies fight over a horsehoe in the background IRL!

“Manos- the Rock Opera of Fate” was put on by the New Millennium Theatre Company in Chicago. But, there was a production done in Portland before that by Last Rites. Y’know, this whole theater scene is gettin’ kinda scary. MST3K as a force for change? Maybe this whole thing is bigger than all of us.

Not worth it unless George “Goober” Lindsey makes another cameo apearance.
Gomer: “Hey Goober, do your Carey Grant impression for Andy!”
Goober: “Judy, Judy, Judy!”
From one of the all time greatest Andy Griffith Show episodes “The Fun Girls” in case anyone ever wondered where Mike got that riff from (it’s his favorite TV show).

At least they’re not doing Angels’ revenge.

Would it be wrong to go to this and riff on it?

I saw their Manos production and it was fantastic.
No riffing necessary, the presentation riff’s itself.
I unfortunately missed The Brain that Wouldn’t Die but I absolutely won’t be missing this one!
Go Portland!

It’s apparent that Last Rites knows their clientele.
But just imagine the seance scene before an uninformed audience!
You know, I would pay good money to see that happen.

How in GOD’S NAME are they going to do a stage version of something so all over the place?
More power to them if they can pull that off.

I tried to get in to the Manos performance on a Friday night, but the place was sold out to regular Theater! Theater! patrons who, I’m pretty sure, had no idea what they were about to see.
This one, I will not miss.
I love living in Portland.

I hope they got Joan Rivers for the title role…
Oh, and if there is a volcanic eruption near Portland, or the city just up and explodes, we’ll know why.

This is pure genius! How could anyone who is familiar with the film not break down laughing through the entire show? “Its like we’re smart but we’re not!”

“Please let this be the end of the pill-taking scene!”

Everyone needs to check out their website. Just watched the YouTube clips of “Manos”…It’s hysterical! I love how “straight” they play it, and just let the ridiculous material make fun of itself. Everybody in the cast is great, but, naturally, Torgo steals the show! Wish I could see some video of “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die”, and I’d kill to see their adaptation of “Batwoman”…the mind boggles!

I believe there was also a “Red Zone Cuba- The Musical” a couple of years ago.

“Red Zone Cuba – the Musical”?? Now that sounds pretty grisly. At the end of the performance of “Manos, Rock Opera of Fate”, an announcement was made that their next production would be, “Mitchell! – Keep your Eye on the Sammich”. Probably a joke, but a good one. Could I hope that it wasn’t a joke? Or, as someone mentioned, maybe these are all signs of the end times.

I wonder if the producers/distributors of the Wild World of Batwoman film know that LastRites lifted the dancing girls photo from the movie and put it on their website? Oh wait…they probably don’t have wi-fi in cardboard boxes.

I agree with Rockyjones. Check out their Manos presentation as it is hysterical. I truly hope they post Batwoman as well since it would take me about 5 days to drive to Portland to see the show.
