The first show of the tour in Portland, Maine last night was AWESOME! “The Brain” is one of the most riffable movies that they’ve ever done.

I was there, too! Were you the guy down on the main floor with the hat? I was the guy in the tee-shirt in the balcony . . . Anyway . . . It was an absolute blast! Loved how Joel and Jonah worked together. “The Brain” is such an AWFUL movie, but perfect for MST. There were lots of laugh-out-loud moments. On a personal note, this was my first MST live show!!

There is a misunderstanding on the Twitterverse.
Some users believe since it’s the 30th Anniversary Tour, that means it’s a full cast reunion.

They acknowledge all past and present cast members, and there are callbacks of various kinds to eps from all periods; but the only people there were Joel, Jonah, Pearl’s clone Cynthia, and a new character for Season 12. (Well, and Crow and Servo, too!)

I’m going by what I’ve read on Twitter.
For example, someone tweeted Bill that (s)he was looking forward to seeing him at the live tour.
By the way, isn’t Pearl’s clone named Synthia?

Sitting in the Shubert Theater waiting for the QA!
Very exciting!

I was given tickets for the Austin show at the Paramount Theater next month. Cool, as these kids today say. Haven’t seen a live show since the Cinematic Titanic days.

Hey, I wasn’t challenging what you had seen, just saying who was actually there. Okay, okay, I remember now: so I misspelled Cynth- . . . er, Sinth- . . . er, the CLONE’s name. :D

Going to the show with my girlfriend. She purchased the upgraded tickets! Love her!
We joked that our date nights are so rare that we needed photographic evidence! And that’s what we got, a couples pic.
Both Joel and Jonah came out in these neat jumpsuit themed field jackets!
Questions were sparse, and by the time my courage found me, they had moved on to the TOTALLY LEGIT audience participation segment setup.
The meet and greet was awesome!
I got to shake Joel’s hand!
Seriously grateful for that moment.

Can the writers of these stories please stop perpetuating the myth that MST3K started on public access? UHF!

CORRECT. And in most of middle America, UHF was a respectable broadcast medium, with many network affiliates. In NYC, UHF was the deadzone of Spanish language and PBS (then NET) stations.
