One of those, “Hey, it’s that guy!” actors from the golden age of television. He was in the original Twilight Zone, the Outer Limits, Hawaii Five-O, Columbo, M*A*S*H, and the list goes on and on. We’re losing too many good ‘uns lately. RIP

I remember him best from Buck Rogers. A good character actor that I enjoyed in all the roles I saw him in. Sorry to see he died, although 90 is a good old age. RIP Tim.

90 is a good run no matter how you look at it. And “peacefully, in his sleep,” well, who could possibly ask for more?

Tim O’Connor. He was in one of my favorite hour-long Twilight Zones: On Thursday We Leave For Home. He played Colonel Sloane, charged with bringing the long abandoned colony led by William Benteen (James Whitmore). Sloane treats Benteen as he deserves as the community’s self-appointed Captain, but quickly realizes that Benteen’s authority has gone to his head — a lot. “A very admirable man,” Sloane describes Benteen. “He just has one flaw: he thinks he’s a god, and we’re booting him out of his heaven.”
And of course he was Dr Huer on the 80s Buck Rogers series with Gil Gerard. Even if they left him at his desk a little too much and unceremoniously dropped him when they went all Star Trek during the second season.
A very underrated actor, one who could handle any role he was given. RIP, Mr. O’Connor.

Wow. A very familiar face from my formative years. Sad to see him go.
Bidi-bidi-bidi Rest In Peace… And may angels sing thee to thy rest.

To me he always looked like a Gerry Anderson character.
