Cambridge, England–Stephen W. Hawking, the Cambridge University physicist and best-selling author who roamed the cosmos from a wheelchair, pondering the nature of gravity and the origin of the universe and becoming an emblem of human determination and curiosity, died at his home here on March 14. He was 76.
The New York Times had a great obit.
We here at Satellite News salute him and, as much as we honor his courageous career, we cannot let him pass without presenting one of the most disturbing host segments of the series, a segment where he is mentioned not once, but twice. We think he would enjoy it.
Honoring Hawking’s memorable connection to Star Trek: TNG, of course. (“wRoNg AgAiN, aLbErT…”)

Strange and almost fitting he died on Pi Day.
To be able to exist, mentally, in both the world of quantum cosmology and the so-called real world is an accomplishment for which there is no method of measure. RIP Dr. Hawking.
S = Pi A kc cubed / 2hG
Hawking’s Entropy equation. He wanted it on his gravestone.
A brilliant mind who overcame a debilitating disease and beat the odds to live until 76. RIP.
I’ve always loved Crow’s “Thanks, Stephen Hawking!” when the guy’s Commodore Amiga talks in Time Chasers. Yeah, it’s a little too easy, but I quote it to this day whenever I hear that kind of robot-speak. RIP.
