Two Podcasts in One in Minneapolis

At: Sisyphus Brewing, 712 Ontario Ave W, Minneapolis, on Wednesday, April 11, at 7 p.m.:

Two of your favorite podcasts together, live and in person — plus, beer! 372 Pages We’ll Never Get Back & Like Trees Walking LIVE!

Join “Mystery Science Theater 3000″‘s Mike Nelson and co-host Conor Lastowka (Writer/Producer for RiffTrax) for a very special live edition of their hit podcast 372 Pages We’ll Never Get Back. Mike and Conor will give you an honest, unflinching review of the upcoming Ernest Cline /Steven Spielberg film “Ready Player One” and also visit all your podcast favorites, including Dumb Sentence of the Week, Leaked Scenes and a very special edition of Real or FanFic?

Also, Mike will be joined by David Berge for a live and lively version of their podcast Like Trees Walking. Mike and the learned pastor will discuss the BIG issues of being a human being on planet earth, issues of philosophy, religion, life, death, and most importantly, canned fish products. You’ll laugh, you’ll think, you’ll laugh again, and then stop to think why you’re laughing.

Ticket sales will be donated to: 826 National (national creative writing non-profit) and Ace in the City (local non-profit that does literacy education in the MPS)

Religion, life, and death. Is there any better qualification for expertise in these subjects than having been a meat puppet?

  3. So, when do we get the next exciting podcast of Pages We’ll Never Get Back?:
A biting incisive study of Kurt Vonnegut classics, a hilarious savaging of Thomas Pynchon, that perfect “Oh, no, they didn’t” spin on Jane Austen?…Or, did they just pretty much begin and end at picking on RP1 because it had 80’s Stuff in it for Cole and the Spielberg movie hadn’t come out yet?

(My awesome, terrifying psychic powers are getting strange flashes of Daniel Wilson’s “Robopocalypse”, now that Spielberg gave up the book rights and Michael Bay’s reportedly taking over the movie version…Just don’t ask me to predict the lottery or horse races.
Wait, no, I’m seeing a letter: Z! A “world war Z”, does that mean anything??)
