Actor Don Pedro Colley who had memorable roles in “Beneath the Planet of the Apes” and “THX 1138,” but who is perhaps best remembered as Sheriff Little on TV’s “The Dukes of Hazzard,” died on Oct. 11th of cancer. He was 79. MSTies will remember him the “Black Spy” in the movie in episode 913- QUEST OF THE DELTA KNIGHTS.
Alert reader Duane first alerted us to his death (both Wikipedia and the IMDB list a death date for him, but do not give the source for that information). So, though we have yet to see a proper obituary — and we waited a few days before posting this to see if one would arrive, and it hasn’t, that WE have seen — we are reasonably convinced that he has died.

In general I don’t trust a fan site that does say HOW they heard. But if its one of a chorus of fan sites, I will start to listen.

Yes, that’s more like it. It’s funny that the Chronicle obit didn’t appear on Google news. BTW Boot Hill has proven themselves over the years to be very reliable.

that is from the guy who played Cooter in The Dukes of Hazzard (been there too).

To me he’ll always be Baron Samedi from the 1974 movie Sugar Hill. RIP Mr. Colley, and I hope the real Baron finds favor with you.
