  1. It’s cute, but not fantastic. I’m sure Ted wouldn’t have been comfortable with improv, which is too bad, as the bots have proven they are fantastic doing that (I’d just like them to improve for an hour. That presser where they did that was far funnier than any of The Return).

This was fine (I’d watch that sun show), but more notable in that Netflix made it at all. Hard not to think Season 12 might well be in the cards…

I did not see any giant water bottles in that meeting and nobody was sporting a set of those irritating blue tooth ear bud phones that make them look like they are mental and talking to their invisible friend. Obviously Sarandos wasn’t taking the bots seriously since there were no redundant assistants involved, either.

I think “Fullest House” gives us a glimpse into Crow’s style of playing The Sims.

That’s a good point. At the very least they are supportive of it.

Can’t be all that bad……..if all those rumors I’ve been hearing about beer being up there are true.

Either I’m adjusting to it, or Barron’s Servo is more on-point in these than a lot of Season 11 where he seemed to be developing as he went. On that note, I suspect that the S11 host segments may have been recorded after the riffs, since I’ve noticed he’s usually more “in character” during the sketches. Either way, I agree that Netflix even making these videos is a good sign they’re supporting the series ongoing.

Yeah, I agree. Whether these are totally scripted or there’s any improv in them, the characters seem more comfortable and a lot less stiff.

(Rust? I thought Crow was made of molybdenum!)

Very cute videos and I agree with the others who have pointed out that this bodes well for Season 12!

  13. I saw this most clearly in the presser the bots did (after the season was filmed). Again, they did improv and were amazingly good, so good I got my hopes WAY up (and then they weren’t nearly as good in the season. Did either of them actually write? I haven’t checked to see if they were listed and I assume they were, but maybe they just need to be alone in a room with the two of them and do ALL of their own writing).

If they do a live tour, as Joel is suggesting, I hope I get a chance to at least see a video of it sometime down the road (because they will NEVER come close to me). I suspect they will hit it out of the park.

I’m getting used to his Servo. I think he will improve in the, hopefully, years to come. While this is season 11 for the show, it’s really season one for nearly all involved.

I think all of them have talked about learning on the fly, which makes sense, but I also think that they recorded the host segments basically based upon cameo scheduling (the riffs were recorded in episode order, which, again, makes sense). I agree that Baron’s got a stronger grasp on Servo now, but then heck, it took Kevin Murphy half a season to nail down his own Servo. I wouldn’t want Baron to just ape what Kevin did, anyway.

Both Baron and Hampton wrote on all the episodes, yes. I also think the live tour (if it ever comes to pass) will be very successful and would really help Jonah & Co. settle into their roles (and, perhaps, give them some on-the-job training on what works and what doesn’t as far as riffing goes).

Any chance they could include these as extras on the DVD release?

THAT is a great idea! Along with the Stranger Things riff, the Facebook Bot Q&A, and whatever else they do between now and when the DVD comes out!
