Middlebury, Vermont–Actor Warren Frost, perhaps best remembered as Doc Hayward on the classic TV series “Twin Peaks,” or as the father of George’s fiancee Susan on “Seinfeld,” died at his home here after a lengthy illness. He was 91.
MSTies might remember his small role as a switchboard operator in the movie in episode 319- WAR OF THE COLOSSAL BEAST.
The Hollywood Reporter has the story.
Thanks to Timmy for the heads up.
Wow. I had no idea that one of my favorite characters from Twin Peaks was in War of the Colossal Beast. I’m sorry to hear of his passing.
I remember him well from Twin Peaks and Seinfeld. His son Mark co-wrote, produced and directed Twin Peaks.
It’s crazy that both of Susan’s parents from Seinfeld were on Twin Peaks, that blows my mind!! RIP, Mr. Frost.
It was a surprise to see that he was in Middlebury, Vermont. I took a college course there this past summer.
Classic…
“Dear Henry, last night with you was bliss. I fear my.. orgasm has left me a cripple. I don’t how how I shall ever get back to work.. I love
you madly, John. P.S. Loved the cabin.”
You Middlebury Snob! ;-)
The crossover between Twin Peaks, Seinfeld and MST is awesome. Twin Peaks lives in my dreams, and, Seinfeld shaped comic parameters. RIP Mr. Frost.
What blows my mind is that I never noticed. It never registered. And I love Twin Peaks. Jesus.
RIP Warren.
His best line on Twin Peaks: “These grapes are right on the edge.”
