RIP Ann Graves

BURBANK, CALIF– Anne Yarbrough Graves, for whom Hollywood appearances were only part of an incredibly full life, died quietly at a hospital “after a valiant but mercifully short battle with cancer.” She was 76.

MSTies will remember her performance (using the stage name Ann Graves) as Princess Laura in the movie in episode 411- THE MAGIC SWORD. She did another movie and four TV series appearances, before leaving acting for a fascinating life, detailed here. No really, you should read it.

Thanks to Paul for the heads up.

Seriously. Just when we thought 2016 was behind us. :dazed:

A beauty, a great talent, and wow, what a fascinating life. The Magic Sword was seriously one of the better movies ever done by MST3K, in my opinion. Certainly she was a bright spot; what a loss.

Still, to everything there is a season. Prayers for peace to her family.

“She had recurring parts on both Gunslinger and Bonanza and was killed by Indians a number of times before this sad and final departure.”

I can only hope for so colorful an obituary.

Sounds like she was a wonderful lady who lived life well.

I, too, could shuffle off this mortal coil in peace if I had been able to have the title of “Miss Naugahyde.” But seriously, thanks Sampo, for urging us to read her obit. Sounds like she was a fascinating woman, one who didn’t have “quit” in her vocabulary.

    RIP

So I guess the Reaper will just keep rolling right along, as if we didn’t lose enough last year. :(

Well, to be fair to the Grim Reaper, this was a 2016 death (though we found out about it after our annual “in memoriam” video, so she’s in the horrifying stack of corpses for next year).
